We live in an information society.

This is not a metaphor.
It is a neurological constraint.

The human brain was not designed to process continuous, high-velocity input.
It evolved for sparse signals, clear threats, and meaningful pauses.

Modern leaders operate inside a different reality:
constant data, constant alerts, constant context-switching.

Television.
News.
Email.
Social media.
Meetings.
Dashboards.
Stimulation without recovery.

This is not a discipline problem.
It is a mismatch between neural design and operating environment.

When the nervous system is overstimulated, clarity degrades first.
Judgment narrows.
Reactivity increases.
Decisions feel urgent—but are less precise.

Before optimizing strategy, many leaders need to stabilize the system making the decisions.

Which best reflects your current state?

1️⃣ I’m informed, but my attention feels fragmented.
2️⃣ I’m productive, but my nervous system never truly settles.
3️⃣ I’m clear, focused, and able to disengage without effort.

Comment 1, 2, or 3.
